Hanam Trading Company, the exclusive agents in Korea for Labtech Engineering Co., Ltd. is once again participating in the upcoming KOPLAS 2021 which is scheduled for March of 2021. Labtech Engineering is a leader in developing laboratory sized machines for the plastic and rubber industry. Major companies throughout Korea are currently using the Labtech brand and we believe that KOPLAS 2021 will be a great opportunity for us to introduce Labtech machines to everyone and for them to see and experience our machines first hand. In KOPLAS 2021, we will be showcasing the brand new COEX 5 Layer Mini Blown Film Line, Two Roll Mill with a built in oil heating unit, and the 3 Layer Cast Film Line.
Labtech Engineering’s latest development, the COEX 3 to 5 Layer Mini Blown Film Line, was introduced in September of 2020, which is very practical, economic and compact. The line is available in 3 layers, 3 extruders version as well as 5 layers, 5 extruders version. It has been designed to offer a suitable line on developing new multi-layer film compositions and it can also be used for evaluation of additives like colorants, fillers and film performance inhibitors. With its compact design, it can easily be fitted in most laboratories. This new line is possibly very timely given the bans all over the world on plastic bags in which the customers can now, at a very reasonable cost, have a laboratory line to develop new multilayer films for other applications. The model that will be showcased at KOPLAS 2021 uses 5 units of 16mm single screw extruders with 30 L/D. Also, this model comes standard with a compact 360º Oscillating Tower and uses 5 layer pancake die. Labtech Engineering can make up to 11 layer blown film lines with a maximum rol width of 1.1 meter.
Labtech Engineering has made some significant upgrades to their two roll mill lineup. This upcoming KOPLAS 2021, Hanam Trading Company will be showcasing the latest two roll mill which uses both electric and oil media for heating of the rolls. Also, Labtech’s two roll mill are already known for its compact design, and to add to this type of design, Labtech has designed the two roll mill to have the oil heating unit built into it which reduces even more laboratory space. The two roll mill that will be showcased has a roll diameter of 150mm (6”) and length of 320mm which is perfect for the use thorough mixing, checking for “fish eye” and other tasks related to mixing.
Lastly, Hanam Trading Company will be showcasing Labtech Engineering’s 3 Layer Cast Film Line that has a roll width of 400mm which can produce up to 370mm width film/sheet. This model has a separate roll stack where the top and the bottom roll can move up and down to the desired position. Because of the movements of these rolls, not only can this model be used for cast film, but it can also be used as a calendaring line. Labtech Engineering can provide cast film lines up to 9 layers and maximum width of 1.2 meters.
